The fact is, there is too little manhood in men. Earnestness of the right sort as conspicuous by its absence. Hence when they resolve upon achieving these, the initial difficulties quench their odor. First of all we must realize these higher teachings, if we have not done so in the past. We must love them as the only things worthy of achievement. It is not the passion of selfish growth that should grip up, but the clear, cheerful atmosphere of purity that should be our guide. Then when the thoughts of mind are strung up to action we should find nothing difficult of achievement.

We are happiness ourselves, and we are sometimes unhappy because our eyes have grown blind simply because we are ignorant. Yes, man has forgotten his real divine nature the inborn drive of spiritual identity. If we can understand these tendencies, then you will know that man is being worked upon by a divine law whose stern mandate is "Awake, Arise, and stop not till the goal is reached" I am a living example to this fact, thus cycle after cycle of activity thus goes on in our endeavor to re-define our soul-force and enthusiasm to understand whatever is stored in the brain, and worked by the soul flux.

I advice you to read sacred things and then reflect upon them. Study the feeling and thoughts that arise within you. Leave the faults of others alone. Then look upward, but never look down upon your inferiors. This is the only secret thats have testify of the truth for billions of years. If you study and meditate, if you analyze yourself honestly, you will bury all your weakness in the light of knowledge. Live up to your desire and aspirations, if you fail in the course, rise again and again and yet again. Therefore assert yourself; and strength will surely come. However sincere in your wish, strong in your resolve and understanding, nothing can stand in your path. Once again look ever upward and onwards on things you have very much desired for, and of which the flesh frowns on. Do not be waved by the almighty and devastating Wind of men's manipulation, and threat of the trick-star, it will only bark but can never hurt you.

Nature with her pitiless ways cannot claim mercy for herself. Her laws are hard. Be it a sin of commission or of omission, your escape is impossible. This penalty bears a mission peculiar to itself. It is a blessing in disguise; it is the merciless knife of the surgeon. No rights have we then to rule out pain as a visitation of a wrathful deity a confused potter and crackpot for that matter. Rather, we shall see cause and effect, not somewhere and sometimes, but every where and always. That is the everlasting positioning of strength you may have applied to regain your consciousness against ignorance and weakness. Every sweet has it sour.

Lets confront fate with fate, fire with fire, and standing aside, see the one eat the other. The end of all world systems is the destruction of. Not some milksops and lunatics, but men who have dare challenge the chief potters, Christ coming was to expose this hidden mysteries to the awareness of men so that they may know the truth and saddle home to their true creator all by themselves. And as is proved in higher mathematics, the parts of infinity are infinity; you too are infinity. This is the logic beyond every philosophy, science and the logic of man. God Himself re-exists in each liberated soul form. His light shines full upon your consciousness from within the soul energy propensity. You wish, you command, you demand, you assent, and you get - what you want; though you go to sleep, your thought if sufficiently vitalized by concentration will come to pass and continues in the other phase of things. Determine the breath, the solidity, and the soundness of the plank of life you stand upon. You are your master, because God made you a free soul, even though we fell from his kingdom due to sin into a lower sphere of Alchemy.

Knowing and realizing this, you shall step up the highest and best in life and with firm hands pluck the fruit you would taste. The sweet, the bitter or the bittersweet taste is according as you choose. Where and what is fear then? It is all cause and effect, laugh at Astrology, at science; know their secrets; know they are emanations from you; and stand fearless and strike straight from the shoulders, once, twice, thrice, innumerable, till your strokes tell, till your strokes lay low the monster that have broken their teeth upon your unyielding shoulders; till you have beget what you should beget. This is a passing glimpse of life's conscious stage. Here life is self-determined. Here no hand but yours builds. No brain but yours thinks. No strength but your avails! No soul but yours bids, a bargain at last bears away the mountains. This is not just indoctrination or mere fallacies but it is the divine truth which the soul yearns to attain, a sublime height of awakenness.

Strive to develop intrinsic worth. Life becomes a song of harmony peace and power when you develop and expanded the will - power.

The education of the will should be the aim of your life. The pleasure seeker is an ass. He is ever complaining of his hard lot, of disappointment, of ill health, he is as a bird benefit of wings quivering its shattered pinions in it vain attempt to soar up in the sky. He is a learning willow whose whole structure indicates weakness and dependence. The gods have put their ban upon this twenty-first century fever for pleasure. Go into any large assembly of educated men and if you are a true judge of character you will hardly pick out five men out of five hundred or more with the five, refined impressive features of stoic, a heroic soul in an obedient body ready to question the authority of the crackpot. The reason is not far to seek that their chief objects is to titillate the nerves of sensation. They never learned the great and important law of self-denial. They are being dragged along by a force far mightier than their feeble selves are. They have never said a firm NO to their impulses. They are mere masks, men, clays of pots and not the liberated soul which the Christ has redeem from utter destruction. They are automatic machines ready to vibrate momentum of understanding and virtue. They may have picked up a little odd knowledge; they may have a low cunning, but they lack the affirmative force of character, the vim and pith of a positive personality, the calm poise of controlled energy. They have never realized the intense joy of a soul that lives only to aspire after what is higher and noble. But then existence is not all a bed of rose. Shocks will come and, when they do, these weaklings are bowled over like so many ninepins. Then they just sit up and talk to their aching hearts, their bleeding wounds, their sorrow-laden, miserable lives and paying total submission to the wrangling loser and confused Lucifer the Lord of the Earth and owner of our uniform entity. Their good wishes are as so many soap - bubbles. Their resolutions are mere effervescence of a dying vitality. Their promise the mere ebullition of emotion minus the stamina to accomplish them. They are the blind worms of fate. They are the victims of wicked-minded souls. They are so many will-less, nerveless weaklings. They are slaves.

Determine to be master of your mind, and work at this concentration exercise daily with earnest and hopeful steadfastness; sit up at night in perfect silence. Hold yourself steady bodily and mentally. Then begin to tense your will. Feel and say, "I am this very moment mastering my mind. Now, this moment, Now" Insists on immediate mastery. Do not say, Tomorrow" but say "This moment" Set up the strong present tense against all else. Do not give up till you are quite exhausted mentally. Do it with perseverance. It will set up strong vibrations that will destroy the weak atoms of your brain and thoroughly establish a vigorous tone of thought activity. Practice will bring light. Inspiration comes on the vibratory wires of strong thought and strong action. Action muscular exertion will turn your mind to a responsive condition. Learn to be positive to evil suggestions, either from your own nature or from that of others. Have a spirit of your own. Determine to do a thing and do not desist while there is even a breath left in the body. Greatness could never be a prize for cowards. Only the brave, the pure, the strong, the determined, the enlightened, can reach the goal, none else, not even a single wish.

Exercise yourself to be positive, EXERCISE. Be convinced, Exercise is the first, last and the only condition of growth. The human will is the grandest culmination of all the complex workings in the realm of consciousness. It is a grand thing, this human will, its influence over man is one of compelling, forcing, driving, impelling, overpowering, commanding, and demanding. This force is essentially masculine, pulling, attracting, and charming. This is the feminine phase of mental energy. When you combine the two, the positive and the negative electrodes in the human brain, your suggestions, whether turned in upon your subconscious self or projected outward, command and irresistible position; in fact, they influence the imagination, reason, or will or another man in an uncontrolled man: This is what comes through the practice of concentration and exercise. We should learn to make use of both; whether we are suggesting outwardly.

The second word is CONCENTRATION, then what is concentration? Holding the mind to a point, there are two phase of concentration: a lower and a higher. We shall take up the first only. You are not prepared for the second, which deserve a lot of spiritual preparation and initiations. Only those whose soul-unfoldment is an actualized fact can practice it and they will not need these teachings. Surely they are their own teachers.

Resolve upon the performance of a certain mental work - concentration; say for half an hour at the beginning. They carry it out. Do it everyday, each time prolonging the duration of the exercise. Suppose you cannot find a mental task (thinking or answer to a particular question that dazzles you). Here is one: first of all "RELAX" mentally and physically, yet remain alert and steady. Now: Take this virtue: chastity. Read literature on this subject. That will provide you with the requisite information and supply many missing links. Study it from the physically, mental, and spiritual viewpoints. Then sit up and calmly think out the bearings of the virtue; what, it is, how to practice it. Its resulting benefits to humanity - you society and beyond; its appreciation, its lifting influence, the sense of courage which it gives; it absolute importance in the quickening of your evolution, and so on.

Then steady the mind upon this complete shaping of the virtue. Meditate upon it. Dwells upon it, that it shall become established in you. That from the moment you are sitting in this attitude of concentrated willing, all your forces are being transmitted to chastity: that the protoplasm of your very physique are becoming sensitive to the fascination of this virtue. That there in a tremendous force being generated right in the centre of your head that shall present an irresistible front of all evil thoughts and tendencies: that your entire nature vibrate to this thought - I am chaste: that you recoil instinctively from all that may coarsen you finely - strung spiritual fibres; that will fall off, flies off from your intensely poised mind: that your higher consciousness is unfolding; that your intelligence is expanding: that your body obeys you: that you have power, force within you; and that it is developing. Now say, "Now" "this moment," and insist upon immediate mastery. Do this regularly and at the same time every day.

You can will yourself in to any state of mind you like. Not in one day or in one week will you obtain control. It will require a hunched sitting or even more. But from the very first, setting a sense of assurance, the consciousness of an internally developing force, shall come to you and this if you have been thoroughly earnest over your task. Perseverance and patience you must have, indeed, to have these is to have everything. There shall come about a step forward in your evolution at each sitting. This is the art of willing. You get it cheap. Do not treat it with indifference. Practice for a fortnight will prove to you conclusively the virility of your remark. Be earnest, be a determined soul. Focus upon an idea and stick to it with the bull-dog's tenacity, till you have seen it through to the end. Do not talk of it to others. Never tell others that you are in training. Sufficient gratification of your vanity shall beget a wish-for object. The praise of the world is not at all necessary to your happiness. The approval of your own is quite sufficient. Each man sets his own measure. If you believe that you are uniquely fitted to be a virtuous pure-hearted man, so will the world also, stick to your own. Do not be a busybody for then you shall be nobody. Be an earnest thoughtful man. Stand rigidly by your idea. Do not force it upon others. But do not be forced out of it. Simply be earnest with yourself.

The third requisite is keen and broader INTELLIGENCE. You must not go and prepare cassava out of garri, one must do the reverse. You must not drive a nail where it won't go. By steady and much thinking, you shall be able to expand this faculty. Yes books supply missing - links, and give you the loose end of suggestions which you can work out at leisure. Read little, think much. You intelligence will be nurtured by contact with a pure soul, for this will purely charges your body with subtle, radiant and powerful forces. "Socrates declares that if some have grown wise by associating with him, no thanks are due to him, but simply whilst they were with him they grow wise and not because of him"; this is the secret. The vibration of a stronger mind impinge upon your receptive consciousness, shake up some of its grossness and implant seeds that fructifies in the long run, work for your spiritual upliftment. Associate with good men of like men with the challenges to free their soul once and for all. Let their thoughts -magnetism encircle you and exercise its subtle, mysteriously spiritualizing influence upon you. The mere contact will act as a living force and awaken your latent powers. It will shed benediction by its mere touch. It is the life; and life alone can convey life. His words shall wring in your ears even when you are far away from him. His glance shall remain stirring, prompting and stimulating you. it shall finally drive your seeking soul on its way to liberation.

Friend! When you have gone through this simple training, your inner spirit shall transmute all things that approach you to the nature of your ideas. Obstructions will be brushed aside. Many of the vexations and tribulations that you may be suffering now shall be smoothed out of your path. As you speak, as you look, as you move about, your inner nature shall flash out of you. It will enter your hands and feet and compel your entire being. Thus by educating yourself shall you set others a good example. Life will be worth living. Death will lose its horrible aspect. Love, power and peace shall flow out of you, and chasten others, guard it well, wield it for good purpose alone. You are now for the divine side of things. Your will is law. Let it be strong and guided by love. That will develop in your nature pure and divine sounding qualities. Then shall you find harmony and peace.

The last words are thoughtfulness. The right exercise of thought - power is an act of creation. "Each thought is a soul" what you think that you are, what you shall think that you shall be, are the words of an enlightened soul. We live in a state of developments, our thought create for us what our soul irk for. A drop of ink makes million thinks - and one might pile one saying above another to the same effect. All life is a flux of moods. The mind of man is continually vibrating. External impacts impinge upon it and galvanize it into activity. Impulses initiated from within act upon the mind. This ceaseless activity of the mind if controlled and tone up to an exalted level, will at last lead us to knowledge and sound judgment; if left alone, will knock up about here and there, from pillar to post till it is weakened and exhausted, we fall within the iron grips of death to be taught perhaps harder lesson hereafter, but to hit the baser part of us out to the rare, we must learn to surrender to the Jesus alone, because in him all powers owe their allegiance even the confused crackpot the Devil and his cohort.

My Life is a simple one, a very well organized aspect of living. I grew up to be the man i had always wanted to be, and no matter, i will always be what i want to be in life, making those who trust in me very proud people. My Goal is to make a breakthrough in the area of art as it is in science, space, technology and Mathematics. As Mathematics has lead to higher truth, i believe beyond all reasonable doubt that reason alone in the contemporary issues of Humanity will also lead me to higher through. I have tried in my search to finding lasting solutions to the ethical problems of men, and that like the maze of life, we all must stand and pick up the bones, which in a nutshell has been left to rot.

Our lives in this world seems more maribound to those who watchs our progress and compliment on them. My goal is certainly to be good, and righteous always. Being "Good" is the veritable source of our pride, honor and all we have fought for in this changing world. Life is good, but there is more to life than the eyes can see, because it also contains some unrealistic events happening.

Youve written your book.

Youve either sold it to a traditional publisher or youve decided to self-publish.

You know the book has the potential to become a bestseller.

Now... how do you make that happen?

For the answers to these and other questions, I interviewed Nashville, Tennessee, book publicist Maryglenn McCombs. Heres what I found out:

Q: What is a book publicist? What should authors expect from a publicist?

A: Book publicists work with the media to generate awareness - both at a consumer and retail level - for a book. Publicists act as a liaison between the author or publisher and the media. My job, as a publicist for a book, is to generate media coverage for a book or author.

As for what a client should expect, I think dependability and responsiveness are key. It is important that the publicist have strong media contacts, good writing skills and verbal skills and a general awareness or interest in the book's subject matter.

Q: Do you work on a project by project basis? I would assume, as a publicist, you like to build a relationship with each client to see results. How do you do this?

A: For the launch of a book, I work on a per project basis. There are special circumstances where I will to take on a project for an agreed-upon number of hours per month, but these are typically for post-publication books that need a jump-start or other instances where an intensive campaign is not necessary.

And it doesn't happen overnight. As a publicist, I think it is extremely important to explain the process and timing of the campaign (i.e., when will the publicist pitch to print media? Radio? TV? Will they set up a book tour?) to the client on the front end. It is important to address a client's expectations, as well.

I like to keep my clients well aware of everything I am working on, so I send reports detailing what has been done/who has been pitched, the status, and next steps. The client deserves to be completely in-the-know about the services being provided. Effectively promoting a book is a process -- and it is one that requires lots of patience - both from the author and the publicist.

Q: Does the publicist write the press materials, or does the author have to do that?

A: I create all of my own press materials. Occasionally, clients will come to me with their own press materials, but I prefer to create releases, biographies, and other materials myself, as this is a great way to familiarize myself with the client, their book and message. I do ask that my clients supply digital photos of their headshots.

Q: How are publicists paid?

A: I work on a per project basis and am usually paid in monthly installments.

Q: How do you create a press kit for each client? What do you do with the press kit to promote your client?

A: I typically keep the press kit as simple as possible -- a press release (not longer than one page), a biography, a fact sheet (just the details about the book, such as ISBN, trim size, price, etc.) and in some cases, a tip sheet (a few succinct bullet points of what is in the book) If there is an interesting backstory to a book, I sometimes include a mock interview with the author.

The press kit is used for a number of things - soliciting reviews, providing background for interviews, etc. One client I currently represent is using the press kit I created for him to solicit speaking engagements.

Q: Do all your clients live in Nashville? How do authors hire you?

A: I work with very few clients in Nashville. Right now, I have clients in London, New York, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Texas, California, Florida, Kentucky, and Ohio.
