Uterine Prolapse Exercises - Take Control Now!

The pelvic floor muscles are comprised of ligaments and tissue that hold the uterus in its proper place. When there is damage or strain on those muscles causing them to weaken, either from several vaginal childbirths, or a loss of estrogen, the uterus may prolapse, or sag and eventually descend into the vaginal canal. The symptoms of uterine prolapse vary in severity, with some women experiencing no sign of the condition at all.

Moderate to severe cases of uterine prolapse may cause symptoms that include:

- A feeling of heaviness or pressure in the pelvis.

- Painful intercourse.

- Abdominal or lower back pain.

- Feeling something protruding, or the sensation that something is about to fall out of the vagina.

The Kegel exercise

Kegel, or pelvic muscle exercises are named after the doctor who popularized them, teaching women how to strengthen and tone these muscles, helping eliminate incontinence, and reducing the chances of a prolapsed uterus. 15 minutes each day of Kegel exercises can make a noticeable difference in bladder control as well as strengthening the pelvic muscles, which are like any other muscle in the body, needing exercise to stay strong.

To find the correct muscles, start out by trying to stop the flow of urine, youll know if youve found the right muscles if you are in fact able to stop urinating. Another method of locating the pelvic floor muscles is to lie down, insert a finger into the vagina, and again bear down again as if you were stopping the flow of urine. If you feel a tightening around your finger, youve found the pelvic floor muscles.

To do the Kegel exercise, begin by lying down, tightening the pelvic floor muscles, and then holding for a count of three to five seconds. Relax the muscles for another count of three to five, and then repeat the process over again for another set, doing the same thing three times a day. Remember to have patience, as it may take weeks or even months to notice a difference.

Your goal should be to gradually work your way up to 10 or 15 repetitions each time you exercise. Once youve mastered the practice lying down, try doing the exercises sitting down, and then while standing up, varying the position each time. Be careful not to tighten any other muscle group or hold your breath while doing Kegel exercises, particularly if youre having problems with urinary incontinence. Putting pressure on the wrong group of muscles may cause extra stress on the bladder.

To avoid a prolapsed uterus:

- Do regular Kegel exercises.

- Maintain a regular, healthy weight.

- Practice proper lifting techniques and avoid straining.

- Control coughing by not smoking and treating chronic coughs and bronchitis.

- Have regular physical check-ups that include pelvic examinations.

- Older women with concerns may want to speak to their doctor about estrogen replacement therapy (ERT).

Show Your Pink Ribbon!

Youve seen them on the lapels of celebrities at awards shows. Youve seen them as jewelry, as magnets, as pictures on grocery items. Theyre those little ribbons that show the wearer is a supporter of the cause the ribbon represents.

It all started with the red ribbons in support of the fight against aids. Now weve got yellow ribbons and blue ribbons and purple ribbons. Today, we will talk about pink ribbons those that show your support in the effort to find a cure for breast cancer.

The breast cancer ribbon is a favorite among women. This is because this disease has hit home to almost everyone. If you dont have a family member affected by breast cancer, you have a friend or co-worker who has. Youd be hard pressed to find anyone in America who doesnt know someone who has had breast cancer. Unfortunately, its almost as hard to find someone in America who hasnt known someone who DIED from breast cancer. Breast cancer occurs in more people than any other cancer except skin.

This is especially difficult, because we know that early detection might very well have saved our loved ones. This is what the pink ribbon is really all about. Yes, maybe weve lost someone. Maybe we just had a close call. Maybe were concerned for someone or ourselves right now. But the point is, wearing the ribbon might just remind another woman to get that mammogram shes been putting off. If just one woman did a self examination because she saw a pink ribbon pin on a co-worker that day, it was the most successful clothing choice ever made!

Wearing a pink ribbon might just save a life.

The pink ribbon is an international symbol for breast cancer awareness. You can wear your pink ribbon in any country; it has universal meaning. No one or no company owns the rights to the pink ribbon. In fact, companies who use this symbol each add their own flair. Avons pink ribbon doesnt look exactly like Estee Lauders. But theyre both recognizable as symbols of support for breast cancer issues, treatment and especially for finding a cure. And portions of the sale of each go to breast cancer research.

National breast cancer awareness month is October. Pink Ribbon Day is always on the fourth Monday. This is the culmination of the month and is the biggest day of activities, education and fundraising, all in support of breast cancer research. You can help by wearing your own pink ribbon. Let your community know you care. When people ask, tell them all about the great work that is being done to cure breast cancer, the second biggest killer of women. Make sure they know that they can do their part in this great cause just by buying a pink ribbon of their own.

So this October, buy a pink ribbon or make a pink ribbon. Wear it proudly as you contribute to this very worthy cause. Stamp out breast cancer in our lifetime and do it with a pretty pink ribbon!

Men are visual beings. They first see the physical beauty of a woman and if she could carry his gene. But a man does not seek the same physical lust in a long term partner. But more for a stable relationship and someone who can care for him and the family.

1. Athletic Body

A fit body is a sign of health and shows that she is able to bear children and is most likely able to defend herself and her offspring form danger. Some extra pudge is usually more attractive because it helps in breastfeeding.

2. Full Breasts

Late teens and early twenties are mens favorite for breasts. As this is a womans sexual and reproductive peak. Typical of what you would find in clothing ads and erotic magazines. But dont worry if yours are not quite like that because research and common knowledge show that men love breasts no matter what size. So they are not only attracted to large breasts. They just simply love them all.

Breasts are mostly fat tissue which is not involved in the production of milk but gives them that contoured look. Breast mostly change only a little during pregnancy. They are usually used for sexual signaling.

The patch around the nipple is called the areola and it has small glands that during sexual activity actually emit a scent. Which in turn stimulates the male brain. Now that goes to show you why men like to spend there time there.

3. Long Legs

A stairway to heaven: The more leg a man sees and the longer they are the better because it draws attention up above.

When a girl reaches puberty her legs lengthen and become a signal to males that she is sexually maturing. Which is it is associated with sexuality. Teenage girls learn of this early and start to wear high healed shoes to make their legs seem longer and short skirts. Men like high heels because they make a woman look more sexual by making her legs seem longer, arching her back, making her butt stick out, thrusting her pelvis forward.

Men are more attracted to thicker legs then muscular legs for sake of sexual differences. It has been shown woman will unconsciously select more revealing dresses/skirts and heels during her menstrual cycle/ovulating.

4. Rounded waist/hips

Woman have been trying to keep or get the hourglass figure by any means possible for the last five centuries. Even if it meant great pain, suffering and work. This meant broken ribs, damaged internal parts, reduced breathing etc. All this from wearing a bustie to look like an hourglass figure. A woman is most attractive to a man when her hip to waist ratio is 70%. The hourglass being her waist is 70% the size of her hips. Usually interest is lost if ratio exceeds 80%. A ratio of 100% or more attracts little attention as this shows fat distribution around the womb and ovaries and is a non verbal indication of lower fertility. Your body moves fat away from vital organs such as the heart, brain, and testicals. Woman who are fixed gain fat around the stomach like men because they no longer have reproductive organs.

Why You Need Bacteria In Your Colon

Bacteria in your colon are referred to by many different names probiotics, good or bad bacteria, beneficial bacteria, acidophilus, disbiosis, micro flora, proflora. friendly flora, and unfriendly bacteria.

I simple use good and bad bacteria to refer to all the bacteria that exist in the small intestine and your colon.

Your colon has both good and bad bacteria. The good bacteria maintain the health of your colon by keeping the bad bacteria from multiplying and reducing constipation.

Most people have bad bacteria as the dominant condition in their colon. You can see this by the illnesses that exist throughout the world. Most people later in their life suffer from diseases that resulted from colon neglect and abuse.

Bad bacteria multiples when you,

* Consume poisons such as pollution, pesticides, food additives such as preservatives, coloring, so on.

* Drink alcohol

* Eat processed foods

* Have excess anxiety

* Lack fiber in your diet

* Use birth control pills

* Use drugstore laxative

* Use drugs and medication

Good bacteria in your colon consists of hundred of species of bacteria. The good bacteria are most active in a pH of 5.9 to 6.9- an acidic environment. This makes for a healthy colon.

Your colon serves as a home for the good bacteria, which ferment specific carbohydrates, which in turn keep your colon environment slightly acidic. The acid environment favors the good bacteria and keeps the bad bacteria and pathogens from multiplying.

The bad bacteria create an alkaline environment and are most active in a pH of 7.1 to 7.9

Again, the good bacteria creates an acidic environment and are most active in a pH of 5.9 to 6.9

Acidophilus and Bifidus are the main good bacteria that exist in your colon. The ascending colon, on the right side of your abdomen area, has the most bacteria. The quantity of bacteria becomes less in the transverse colon and lesser in the descending colon. Eventually, little bacteria is found in the sigmoid and rectum.

When good beneficial bacteria is dominant, in your colon, it prevents the spread of disease from various organisms parasites, bacteria, viruses, fungi. The specific organisms

Shigella, salmonella, viruses, encephalitis, protozoan, amebas, staph, herpes, flu, cold viruses, comphylobacter, and CMV,

are the ones that creates killer diseases such as dysentery, blood poisoning, meningitis, pneumonia, influenza and encephalitis

The good bacteria keep these organisms in the minority, thus preventing them from multiplying, getting into the blood, and into the different body organs. They do this by their antibiotic like secretions, lactic acid production, and other secretions, which keep their environment acidic.

The good bacteria live and thrive on carbohydrates. When your body has good digestion and little carbohydrates reach your colon, the good bacteria population decreases and the bad bacteria become dominant.

Good bacteria need to be fed to keep it dominant in your colon. If there are any good bacteria left in your colon, then by feeding them, you can get them to multiply. If there are not any good bacteria in your colon, then you cannot reestablish the good bacteria by eating specific carbohydrate foods. To reestablish good bacteria, under this condition, you must do a flora enema.

In his book, Acidophilus and Colon Health, 1999, David Webster, also says,

Indicators of a healthy colon flora are a soft but well-formed stool, with amber color and little or no odor, and that floats in water most of the time. When the stools are dry, dark brown, too solidly formed or too loose, and especially if there is a putrid odor, these are clear indicators of a putrefactive, alkaline-producing colon flora. Chronic constipation, diarrhea, and irritable bowel syndrome are often eliminated when your colon is restored and maintained at a slightly acid pH.

In his research, Webster found that feeding the remaining good bacteria edible lactose whey rejuvenates the good bacteria in your colon. By drinking 2 5 tablespoons or more each day in a cup of distilled water enough lactose can reach your colon to feed the good bacteria. Webster recommends doing this for 30 days. After this period you can check your stools to see if you have reactivated you good bacteria
