It saddens me to think that the economists think that GM will go out of business in the next five years, but yet most American still don't understand, that if they'd just buy American, it doesn't have to be this way, but still people will go out and spend a lot more money on an import car, and contribute to the demise of American enterprise.

Americans are under the impression that the import companies are building better cars, and this is just not the case, yes you do pay more for most import cars, but all that does is makes them cost more, I usually do follow the rule, that you get what you pay for, but it does not apply here, until you want to spend $100,000 dollars or more on a car, and then I'll agree about it.

If you think that a $30,000 Mercedes C-230 isn't built cheap, then you'd better think again, it's built like a $30,000 car, not like a $70,000 Mercedes, and a Mercedes is the only import that I would consider driving, although I did own one Toyota truck also, I am an American car guy, and no matter how people think that bashing things that are makes them sound like they are educated, it makes them sound very, very dumb.

In case you aren't up on your reading, Chevrolet is still one of the best selling car lines in this country, and Diamler Mercedes is owned by Chrysler, which by the way is an American car company, and that is a fact, you think it's cool that your next door neighbor just bought that BMW 730i, but you would look a lot better in a brand new Cadillac, or Lincoln Continental then you would in a BMW, and would would be helping our country's automotive industry thrive it it's market place.

It's just plain disgusting to me to see the American people not caring about their own country, it's no wonder that a lot of our business are having a hard time staying in business, and still you don't get it, it really is up to you, if you don't want to see our companies start to lay people off, if it makes you upset to them doing it, it's your fault, it is not their fault, it boils down to simple economics, if you don't buy American products, then American's will be getting laid off, as companies down size to stay in business.

When it happens to you, don't blame the company that you were working for, just think about the person next door who only buys imported goods, don't picket the company that you work for, picket the people who are causing the problem, it's those people who refuse to buy American built products that you need to lay the blame on, it's those people who live in America, but are really not American's that you should picket.
